Happy Monday, Dear Listener!
It’s September which means three things…the Emmys, end of summer, and of course, PSL season. It’s good to be back popping in your inbox again.
How has your summer been?
Mine has been life changing and productive in a whole new way. As most of you know, I just wrapped the most rewarding production of my life: bringing my son Theo into the world at the end of May! Happy to report he came in under budget but was ONE week late. 😅
There are many ways production prepared me for this transition. For example, I’ve spent a lot of time eating tacos at 3am and dealing with (grown) crying babies.
They say time flies, and they weren’t lying. It feels like I blinked and he’s already 3 months old. It’s been a transformative experience beyond my wildest dreams; one riddled with expansion in unexpected but beautiful ways. I feel so lucky to have been present for all of it.
It has not come without its challenges, of course. It’s been interesting to navigate the shift in my professional and personal identity, something working women have been dealing with for decades.
I’m learning that it IS possible to do and be both, just not at the same time. I have a newfound respect and deep gratitude for parents…especially working parents who are doing their best to juggle both. I see you!
As I figure out my new normal, I am eager to continue the podcast in a cadence that is doable given all the things on my plate. Here some of the upcoming things to look forward to:

On Thursday, August 22nd, that dream came true!
In collaboration with the lovely Fassa Sar, founder of Callo, we poured our passion into creating CREATIVE TENACITY, an evening designed to honor the passion, perseverance, and innovation of creators and producers.
Our communities came together in such a beautiful way. It’s humbling to hear how much the event resonated with guests and many attendees are already planning follow-up meetings for collaboration. We love to see it!

I devoured Rachel Yoder’s novel NIGHTBITCH and have been anticipating Marielle Heller’s film adaptation starring Amy Adams for quite some time. It hits different now that I’m a new mom. Amy is getting some rave reviews for her performance…could this be her first Oscar win?
