Netflix Executive of Carolina Garcia

Sundance Premiere and my new role as an executive at Issa Rae's!

Happy 2022!

Hi all! Larry David would argue late January is too late to wish you a happy new year, but I ah, I disagree! I most certainly hope this email finds you, wherever you may be, healthy/thriving/surviving and drinking lots of water. Dry January, right? I lasted 3 days.

So 2022...what's in store for you? I am planning to pop up in your inbox a bit more frequently this year, so get ready!Yesterday, the feature I helped produce HONK FOR JESUS, SAVE YOUR SOUL premiered at Sundance!

While we were all bummed we couldn't bask in the magical energy of a packed theater in Park City, it's great to know it's out there, doing it's thang. Special shoutout to producer Kara Durrett for bringing me on the ride!

The mockumentary style film written and directed by Adamma Ebo stars Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown as a husband and wife team behind a prominent Southern Baptist Mega Church who attempt to rebuild their congregation amidst a personal scandal. Here's a great Q&A with them if you missed it!

Pod episodes will be slower this year as I adjust to my new and exciting role as the Executive in Charge of Production at Issa Rae's HOORAE Media and ColorCreative! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I’m still pinching myself....Sooooo, I wanna hear from you...what producers do YOU want to hear from? Whose journey are you dying to know more about?

Reply here and let me know. And hey, thanks for doing this life thing with me...

-Carolina
