Podcast Premiere with Eva Longoria

Why women make better directors, what Obama taught her about producing, and her purpose in life.

“There is no recipe. You could do exactly what I did and have a different outcome.” - Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is constantly honing her craft, seeking new projects, and opening doors for women, like me! She's passionate about paving the way for future female and minority leaders in Hollywood and beyond. While there are many actors who produce, each one has their unique goals.

Our chat will give you a bit more insight into what it means for Eva. You may be surprised to know that she’s been producing and directing for the past decade.

Most recently, she executive produced ABC’s newest and hottest show, Grand Hotel, starring Academy Award-nominated Demián Bichir and Roselyn Sanchez. Women barely make up 7% of all working directors today.

Eva is doing her part to break ground in the episodic world by hiring women to direct a majority of the series’ episodes. She then went a step further and hired all women for the director of photography and assistant director positions – departments which are notoriously male dominated. She is a pure delight and a bottomless well of inspiration.
